COVID-19 GUIDELINES

COVID-19 Guidelines (updated 15th November 2021)

The following guidelines have been drawn up to help minimise the transmission of the virus during classes at Performers Ballet Academy, with reference to the current Government guidelines. They will be in place for the foreseeable future and will be reviewed and updated as Government guidelines change.

If any members of your household have COVID-19, please let us know and your child can only return to school during the 7-day Health Risk Warning (HRW) period if they continue to be well and have a negative Antigen Rapid Test (ART) result.

If one student in the class group gets COVID-19, parents will be informed and students in that group can only return to class if they have a negative ART result.

All our students are registered, and we have up-to-date contact details for all our students if we need to contact parents for any reason.

Performers Ballet Academy has its own COVID-19 guidelines and Risk Assessment which we adhere to and are available on request.

All surfaces in classrooms are thoroughly disinfected between classes. Shared equipment (ie the ballet barres) are thoroughly cleaned and/or disinfected before being handled or used by others.

Performers Ballet Academy follows strict Government guidelines as to the maximum number of students for each class.

There is only one entrance and exit for students on the premises and studio. Please leave this area clear between classes.  Students and parents should avoid gathering together near the entrance and exit of the premises and should maintain social distancing at all times.

Masks must be worn as a default at all times, except for persons allowed to use face shields instead of masks (eg. persons with health conditions resulting in breathing/medical difficulties when a mask is worn for a prolonged period). Instructors wear a surgical mask or reusable masks of equivalent effectiveness at all times.

Please note that it is mandatory for us to deploy the SafeEntry Gateway (SEGW) to facilitate SafeEntry (SE) check-in for students aged 7 years and above.  Students must bring their TT token with them to class to be able to check in.  If anyone checking in to class does not have a TT token they should download the TT app on their phone and check in using that.   For any students without a TT token to mobile phone app we will have to note the student’s personal details and retain that information for at least a month to facility contact tracing if necessary.

Students and parents bringing children to class are required to take a measure of responsibility for themselves and to others to help reduce the spread of infection.

Students and parents should not arrive more than 5 minutes before the start of their class and need to leave within 5 minutes of their class finish time.

Students should bring their own labelled and filled water container if required. Plastic disposable water bottles are not permitted in the school. Students will not be allowed to share water containers. There will be no access to water facilities.
